Here is a review of the Kids Cooking Classes that I worked on with my grandchildren in 2016. The classes were so much fun for everyone. We covered a variety of topics, and made some delicious foods! My classes were designed for a variety of ages.
A Christmas visit from the Clauses is really a perfect, memorable event to share with your children or grandchildren.
When one of my grandsons was younger, he lived Christmas every day. When he was playing with other children, he always wanted them to play Christmas..no matter the time of the year. His birthday is in November, but when he was turning 4, my daughter decided the theme for his party would be a Santa Claus party. It developed into “A Christmas Visit from the Clauses”.
I believe that most of us become emotional when unpacking our Christmas decorations. They are not just “things” but are precious memories that we get to re-live each year. Afterwards, we then lovingly put them away in a safe spot until next year.
Deer Camp time is here again. Today is the opening day of buck season with a gun in WV. To my husband (Grandpa Bob) this is a national holiday. This is the day he plans for a year. He is like a little boy on Christmas morning.

Traditions are defined as the transmission of customs or beliefs from generation to generation. Our Thanksgiving traditions are created from memories and gatherings of people sharing their blessings.
When I was growing up, I remember that my mother cooked and baked for days preparing foods for Thanksgiving. I believe that I can still feel the warmth in our home and experience the wonderful smells coming from the kitchen. One of the Thanksgiving traditions our family observed was that everyone came to our house to eat. This included grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
