Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked ham
  • 1/2 cup shredded swiss cheese
  • 1- 1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
  • 1 Tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup sweet relish
  • slices of bread of choice
  • lettuce and tomatoes optional

Instructions

  • Cut ham into chunks. Place in food processor, pulse to chop into small pieces. Be careful not to chop it too much, or it will become a paste like texture.
  • Place ham in a large bowl, add the cheese, 1 cup of mayonnaise, dijon mustard, and relish.
  • Gently stir ingredients together to combine well. Add small amounts of the extra mayonnaise if needed.
  • Chill for at least 2 hours. Makes about 4 cups
  • Spread on sandwich bread and enjoy.

HELPFUL TIPS:
A great way to use leftover holiday ham is to make this recipe.
If you don't want to make the recipe at that time, cut the ham into cubes, measure the correct amount, and put it in a Ziploc freezer bag.  Place in the freezer for up to 3 months. Your ham is available when you do want to make the ham salad.
