GAME DAY SNACKS

Football season is our family’s favorite time of the year.  We follow high school, college and NFL.  You cannot make it through a week of fall football season without having some delicious game day snacks on hand.

A great variety of Game Day Snacks for any football week-end.

I am working on a few new recipes right now and will be sharing them in the next two weeks.  When I serve game day snacks, I like to include a variety of foods.

My menus include the usual chips, dips, and beverages.  I also have a station for different sandwiches, finger foods, and a soup or chili with lots of toppings.

Your game day snacks will vary depending on where you are setting up your party.  A tailgate party in a stadium will be a little different than a party in front of a fireplace with room for lots of crock-pots and tables.

I put together some previous posts I have done on football parties to share with you.

Hot Dogs are always a welcome treat at a tailgate. This homemade hot dog sauce has always been a gig hit and is the top post ever on my blog.  HERE is the recipe for it.

A great collection of game day snacks to score big this football season.

   Sensational Stadium Sandwich

This giant sandwich was such a hit last year when we had a crowd over for a game.  I also made this twice to take to other  parties.  You can’t go wrong when you serve this!

A super collection of game day snacks that will always score big.

 Chicken Bacon Caprese Bites

Here is a finger food that is just a little fancier.  Melt in your mouth delicious.

Pepperoni rolls are a WV food tradition to serve at any parties or sporting events. Pepperoni slices baked in a warm bread.

Pepperoni Rolls

No football party or tailgate happens in WV without
pepperoni rolls.  Our state claims the right to being the
originator of them.  These are excellent to take when
your food must be portable.

These 2 snacks are ones that my grandchildren helped create.  They are a simple game day snack to make.

If I am having a large crowd, I do fix a pot of soup. Chili is our favorite, and we always use this recipe.

Spicy Beef and 3 bean chili is the ultimate pot of chili. Beef, beans, spices, veggies and tomato juice slow simmered to perfection.

Some good desserts are cookies and brownies.  They can be made ahead of time and transport easy to any party.

Good luck to your favorite team and enjoy the season.

My grandson rivalry from Super Bowl 50!
The grandkids were so serious the year their teams played
each other.  Too cute.
