Valentine’s Day is one of my grandchildren’s favorite holidays. The excitement rates right up there with Christmas. I wanted to share some Valentine’s Day tips and sweet treats that I use to make it special for them.
Valentine’s Day is usually celebrated with candy, flowers, cards, or a special dinner date. It is so much fun to find a new way to show that special person how much you love them. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to do this.
Grandpa Bob and I spent Valentine’s weekend snuggled in our cozy home, making lots of good food, watching romantic movies, and just having fun.
We were planning on going to our favorite lake resort, Stonewall Lake Resort. They have a wonderful Valentine’s weekend package and we have done this in previous years.
I mail a Happy Valentine’s Day box to my grandsons in Colorado and North Carolina. I add some Valentine window clings and it is a fun, inexpensive treat from grandma and grandpa. The other children live nearby, so I am able to give them their boxes in person.
Decorated sugar cookies are always a sweet treat that make everyone happy. Here is my recipe Decorated Sugar Cookies
Fix a little treat bag of cookies and deliver to a co-worker, a neighbor, the mailman, or any special person in your life.
